1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User”) and DZG STUDIO LLC (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), governing your access to and use of the Alder macOS application. By accessing or using the Application, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Plans and purchases

The website edition of Alder requires an active trial or purchase:

• 7-day trial: Monthly Pass begins with 7 days free after checkout. A payment method is required. After the trial, the subscription automatically renews at $5.99 USD per month until canceled. You can manage or cancel it in your account. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid the first charge.
• Monthly: An active subscription provides access to all Alder features on one authorized Mac. The current website prices are $5.99 USD per month before applicable taxes or local adjustments. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled.
• One-time: A $49.99 USD one-time purchase provides access to all Alder features on one authorized Mac without automatic renewal. It includes every Alder version released during the first 12 months after purchase; those covered versions may be used and reinstalled permanently. After the first year, major upgrades may require an optional paid purchase. Continuing to use covered versions never requires renewal. Existing purchases retain the terms agreed at their checkout. The price shown at checkout controls your purchase.
• More than one Mac: A standard direct Pro plan covers one Mac. Contact dev@dzgapp.com before purchase if you need a multi-Mac plan.

Direct payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. If Alder is offered through the Mac App Store, Apple’s purchase, restore, and billing terms apply to those transactions.

3. Account access and authorized devices

Direct paid access is connected to the DZG Account that uses the verified email address from checkout. Sign in to Alder with that account to authorize one Mac and to manage purchases, subscriptions, and active devices. Paid access is personal, limited, non-exclusive, and non-transferable. You may not share account access, resell access, or authorize devices outside your plan. Existing activation keys issued before account-based access remain subject to these Terms and continue to work on previously authorized devices.

4. Use of the Application

You may use Alder for lawful personal or business dictation. You agree not to modify, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, redistribute, bypass usage limits, interfere with account or entitlement validation, or use Alder in violation of law or another person’s rights. Alder processes dictation content on device; limited network requests may still be used for purchases, account sign-in and entitlement validation, updates, website analytics, and support as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Intellectual Property

The Application, including its source code, design, and functionality, is owned by DZG STUDIO LLC and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

6. Disclaimer of Warranty

Read carefully

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Application is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that Alder will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for high-risk decisions. Transcription and cleanup can be incorrect; review important text before relying on or sending it.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DZG STUDIO LLC is not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use Alder. Our total liability for claims relating to Alder will not exceed the amount you paid for the Application. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Refunds

Direct purchases: Direct Pro purchases include a 30-day, no-questions-asked money-back guarantee. Contact us at dev@dzgapp.com within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. This guarantee does not limit any non-waivable consumer rights.

App Store purchases: Refunds for purchases made via the Apple App Store are subject to Apple’s standard refund policy and must be requested through Apple Support (reportaproblem.apple.com).

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page. Continued use of the Application after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
